Al Gag's Eel Lock Hooks

Yes, as of the first quarter of 2026, 247 Lures (247 Fishing, LLC) has assumed full production and sales of the legendary Al Gag’s Whip-It Fish, Whip-It Eels, and proprietary jighead designs. We are continuing to work with the large network of retail stores and distributors that Al Gag has built, but these products are also available here on our website. 

When you have an excellent soft plastic lure like the Al Gag's Twitch-It Eel, you need an excellent hook to go with it! Something strong, extremely sharp, and with plenty of holding power. These Eel Lock Hooks were designed to perfectly enhance the bait without changing the way it performs and swims. 

We have found that the 7" Twitch-It Eel performs best with this 3/4oz weighted hook drawing the nose of the bait down to structure. This Al Gag's Eel Lock hook is a 6/0 size and 3/4oz two (2) pack so you have them ready when the bite is hot!

This rigging method will allow you to work the bait nose-down and dance in the strike zone, but still bounce off the structure without hanging up and snagging.

• Long Launch Jigheads have a slightly different weight placement to really get that distance when the fish are out of reach for most anglers. Comes in a 1/2oz size, designed to match the 3" and 4" Whip-It Fish nicely
• Underspin Jigheads can be the winning ticket when murky water or picky fish need a little extra flash and vibration. Same Dual Action Swimming Head shape with the added bonus of a willow blade. Available in 1/2oz, 3/4oz, 2oz, and 4oz sizes to pair with the 4", 5", or 6" Whip-It Fish
• Big Game Heads - were designed to match the Dual Action Swimming Head design, with a pivoting Owner Hook. Designed to match perfectly with the 10" Whip-it Eel, but also fits a number of similar soft plastic tails. Available in 6oz and 8oz sizes
