About 247 Lures

247 Lures is owned and operated by husband and wife team Elliot and Lauren Thomas. Elliot does all the building, painting, and majority of the rigging; while Lauren is largely in charge of bookkeeping, legal stuff, and keeping Elliot on task. All of our lures are turned, sealed, painted, epoxied, rigged, and packaged by hand in small batches. We do our very best to maintain a consistent, high-quality product in every lure we sell. If a product isn’t good enough for our time on the water, it’s not good enough for our clients either.

When Elliot and Lauren took over 247 Lures in early 2017, it was largely just a side-gig for Elliot. Working as a contractor at the time, Elliot had time between projects to produce a few dozen lures each week. Over the past several years, 247 Lures has grown into a nearly full-time job allowing Elliot to focus most of his attention on the lure industry.

Elliot has been a long time fisherman, developing an obsession at a very young age. Elliot has lived in eastern Pennsylvania, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and in Connecticut and has always taken his passion along for the ride. From largemouth and bluegills, to stripers and bluefish, Elliot has some experience fishing for just about every species the north-eastern U.S. has to offer.

Growing up in western New York, Lauren never proclaims to be much of an angler. She’s not a big fan of the early mornings or late evening trips, but she sure seems to enjoy time on the water whenever she gets the chance. Lauren has been joining Elliot on fishing trips since they started dating (and frequently out-fishes him) catching stripers, albies, bluefish, redfish, jack crevalle, trout, and a variety of panfish.
