Thank you for your interest in 247 Lures!

Ideally when we hear from a prospective retail account, a personal visit with a surf bag full of lures is the best way to introduce ourselves, our company, and our products. But in the meantime, we’re hoping this suffices as a crash course in our lures, how we operate, and how we can work together. In lieu of a real handshake, “Hi, it’s nice to meet you, my name is Elliot, and along with my wife Lauren we are the owners of 247 Lures”.

247 Lures has been operated out of our home work shop since the first quarter of 2017. We ‘adopted’ the business from my friend Jeff, who had been building lures under the 247 Lures name since 2010/2011. Most of the original 247 Lures product designs were actually Al Gag wooden lure designs that Al sold off when he wanted to turn his focus to his soft plastic lures. Proven favorites like the 7.25” Needlefish, Sea Special, and Pocket Rocket have remained virtually unchanged since the Al Gag days; but 247 Lures has also released a number of new lure designs over the past decade.

All of our wooden lures are sealed, painted, epoxied, rigged, and packaged - by hand - in small batches in our workshop in Berlin, Connecticut. Each lure is airbrushed, then gets a minimum of two coats of a polyurethane clear coat. We use only the high quality hardware that we would want at the end of our own leader, so all of our products are rigged and ready to fish right out of the package. All through-wires are stainless steel, swivels are rated to 200+lbs, split rings are USA made stainless, and all hooks are VMC.

All we need to get started is your contact information, your shipping address, and a copy of your business Sales Tax Permit. Beyond that, we can keep things super simple or get as in-depth and complicated as you’d like. Would you like to have just 2-3 lures in each color, but stock a large variety? Maybe you want to have just a few key colors that you can really get behind. We’re happy to offer suggestions, but obviously you know your customer base better than anyone.

  • Standard Colors - at any given time we do our best to maintain a working inventory of completed lures that are painted, rigged, packaged, and ready to ship. Obviously we can’t possibly make every lure design in every color combination, so we’ve got a basic list of what we consider our stock or “standard” colors. These are the most popular/effective colors for each lure design, and this list evolves a little year to year. We try to have most of these standard color options ready so we can ship orders promptly. If you see an item available for sale on our website, that lure is in-stock and ready to ship.

  • Custom Colors - beyond our stock/standard colors, we’re always happy to discuss custom color options! Requests can be as simple as painting the 9” Needlefish in Olive over Bone, or the Mully in Redhead. Neither of those are “stock” colors, but they’re easy and can often be shipped in just a week or two. We can also discuss brand new truly custom colors which can be more complicated. In the past we’ve done custom color requests for orders as small as twelve lures, as well as custom orders of over four-hundred lures. The typical custom color request will incur no additional charges.

  • Other Options - in addition to custom color combos, we can also discuss a handful of other options to make sure you get exactly the lure that fits your tackle shop. Custom color eyes, specialty eye pupils, custom logo decal, alternative hook/flag/tail options, etc. are all possible options depending on the size of the order. Many of these customizations can be completed at very little extra cost, but minimum quantities may apply

  • Payment Terms – 247 Lures payment terms on wholesale orders are NET30. We accept checks, Bill.com, PayPal, or Venmo for your convenience. (A returned check will incur a fee of $20.)

  • Shop Local – Our recently redesigned 247Lures.com has more features and flexibility than ever before. Every page of our website shows a top menu and a link for “Shop Local”, which will direct them to a page of our active retailer accounts. Please send us a logo image that you’d like displayed on this webpage, and we’ll update with your phone, email, and physical address. We also love to share pictures and videos on social media, so please make sure you connect with us on Instagram and Facebook so we can tag and promote one-another. • Lead Time – If you’re in need of lures quickly, please don’t hesitate to inquire about our in-stock finished inventory. There is no minimum order size, in many cases we actually encourage smaller orders. Even if you just need a handful of lures to fill empty slots in your display, we’re happy to accommodate. All orders are processed and packed on a first-come, first-served basis. Large and/or custom orders might require two or three weeks to fulfill, but the vast majority of orders in the past several years have shipped in ten days or less. We will provide an estimated ship date at the time each order is placed.

  • Shipping and Delivery - All of our lures are built and shipped from our address in Berlin, CT. We do make an attempt to hand-deliver orders when we can, but shipping via UPS or USPS is faster for the majority of orders. Please let us know if you have a specific ship date, address, or carrier you’d like to use. Otherwise, we’ll ship based on the best rate/time for the size of the order and a nominal shipping charge will be added to your invoice.

  • Website Images - if you maintain a website or other platform for selling products online, we’re happy to help where we can. At your request, we can provide our logo images along with all of the product images you see on our website. Just say the word!

  • Decals - at any given time we try to stock multiple sizes and at least a couple different colors of 247 Lures decals. If you’ve got some space on a window, display case, or somewhere else in your tackle shop for a decal or two, please let us know when you place your next order.

In conclusion, thank you very much for your interest in working with 247 Lures! Please reach out via email (Elliot@247Lures.com) or phone (484-225-5887) to get the ball rolling.
