247 Lures stands behind each and every one of the lures we produce with a satisfaction guarantee. However, let’s be honest, there is no possible way to realistically promise that you’ll catch your new personal best fish using 247 Lures. So here’s the deal…

We want to make sure you are satisfied with our products. To us, that means the lure should:

  1. be built, painted, clear-coated, and rigged in a quality and consistent manner

  2. cast, swim, and work as designed/intended (the Mully should float and splash, the Needlefish should sink, etc.)

  3. hold up to some abuse and last a reasonable amount of time under normal fishing conditions

These lures are all made in small batches from wood, wire, split rings, hooks, paint, epoxy clear coat, and human hands. There will be some variability in the color, weight, and consistency from lure to lure. But beyond that reasonable variation, we do our very best to ensure each and every lure is the same high-quality lure we would tie on the end of our own fishing line.

So if at any point in time you feel that a 247 Lure has not been produced or performed the way you expected, we want to know about it. Some factors are, quite honestly, out of our control. Several years back the sealer we use to waterproof our wood bodies changed their formula without us knowing. There were two small batches of lures that we painted, epoxied, rigged, and shipped without knowing they wouldn’t hold up to the abuse our lures are known for. Likewise, every now and then a wooden body splits or cracks because of a weak spot in the grain that we couldn’t see during the building process. We can’t very well fish-test every single lure we sell before the customer, so we simply have to do our best to prevent any possible problems.

If you lose a lure because a bluefish bit your leader, or your rod snapped and broke your line, I’m sorry we don’t really consider those to be worthy of a “satisfaction” claim. Similarly, if you smack your brand new lure against the side of a concrete bridge and the epoxy cracks, we’d probably consider that to be ‘user error.’

Point being, if you own a 247 Lure product and you’re unhappy for any reason, please let us know.

Thank you!
