Belly Weights - Pancake Style
Building the exact lure that you want means you always need the exact components you want to build with. Finding those components can be challenging, a struggle we know all too well here at 247 Lures. That desire for the very best components has led us down the path to a new line of custom designed pancake-style belly weights.
These lead belly weights are produced by one of our vendors in a spincast machine with custom molds designed just for 247 Lures. Using pancake-style weights like these allow you to keep the weight of a lure as low as possible, while still achieving the exact location and mass you need.
At this time we have four sizes, three of these sizes all fit into a ½” drilled hole (with some wiggle room for epoxy/glue – you might be able to squeeze them into a 31/64” hole). The 11g weight is a larger diameter, requiring a 19/32” hole, but is only ¼” tall – really keeping that weight extra low in the belly of the plug.
Specifics are listed here, choose your preferred size from the drop-down menu…
- ¼oz pancake – fits into ½” hole, ¼” tall, weights average ~0.24oz (~6.8g)
- 3/8oz pancake – fits into ½” hole, 11/32” tall, weights average ~0.37oz (~10.4g)
- 1/2oz pancake – fits into ½” hole, 9/16” tall, weights average ~0.48oz (~13.5g)
- 11gram pancake – fits into 19/32” hole, ¼” tall, weights average ~0.39oz (10.95g)
Due to the spin-casting process, these weights are exceptionally consistent and clean with almost no burrs or lead-gates. There is however, a tendency to not be perfectly round cylinders. The weights still work great, just know that you did not get a bad batch or any sort of reject if you notice some that are a little oblong.
Assuming we didn’t make a mistake on the math, all of our components are priced to be slightly cheaper per unit, the larger the quantity pack you purchase. If you’re looking for a larger quantity than what you see listed, please don’t be shy about emailing and inquiring.
All of the lures and lures building components that we list on our website are in-stock and ready to ship. We do our best to manage our inventory to be as accurate as possible, which allows us to ship orders promptly. Most orders are packed and shipped within 24-hours.
