Metal Lip - Danny Medium Hybrid
We had been trying to find a quality metal shop to make plug lips for more than five years now. Finally, we found a shop with the machines, ability, and willingness to work with us. But recently we’ve also found a couple of smaller manufacturers willing to step outside their normal wheelhouse and make a large variety of metal lips. This listing you’re looking at now is one of those small run products.
These are basically copies of older metal lips, like the ones sold by the old M&D shop and others.. Quality is very good, but we were not involved in the design process. We’ll provide as many details as possible here, but please let us know if you’ve got any questions. The names for these lips were provided by my vendor, so a couple of them might be a little obscure.
This lip you see here is a “Danny Medium Hybrid” (what’s it a hybrid of? Not sure, it looks like a Danny 2 with a taller flat face). This Danny Medium Hybrid measures 1” wide. The bottom semi-circle measures 11/16” tall, with a flat face 9/16” tall. The wire slot is centered horizontally and just above middle, located 1/8” from the top bend. Stamped from 0.0256” thick stainless.
Assuming we didn’t make a mistake on the math, all of our components are priced to be slightly cheaper per unit, the larger the quantity pack you purchase. If you’re looking for a larger quantity than what you see listed, please don’t be shy about emailing and inquiring.
