Squid Zee - 11" ~2.25oz
The Squid-Zee is a lure produced by 247 Lures to be completely different than anything else we had in our tackle bag. The Squid-Zee is made from an incredibly durable plastic, internally weighted and through-wired. Traditionally rigged with an Al Gag’s Whip It! Tail, these can also be purchased with Bucktail Treble Hooks instead of the soft plastic tail.
A 2.25oz the Squid-Zee casts like a bullet from a sniper rifle, which means whether you’re fishing from the beach, the surf, or a boat, the lure will always get you to the fish! You can retrieve the Squid Zee slowly with twitches, or as fast as you like. Keeping the rod tip high will help you keep the lure up near the surface, or drop the rod tip lower and slow the retrieve to get down further in the water column. A slow retrieve with a spook-style retrieve creates a “walk the dog” type action underwater.
The Squid-Zee comes rigged with either an Al Gag’s Whip It! Tail or a Zinger Baits A-Salt Tail (depending on the color combo), make sure you pick up some extra Whip It! Tails as well!
We produce the Squid Zee in four main colors, but can paint and epoxy them to create custom options as well.
